How to measure Torrent Speed Correctly. It's a little known fact that most torrent clients report speeds differently than web-based speed tests.. In fact, they're usually off by a factor of 8. That's because torrent clients like uTorrent report speed as Mega Bytes per second, whereas speedtests like topfind247.co report Mega bits. Since 1 Byte = 8 Bits, then 1 Megabyte per second is. Re: Torrents don't download even though there are seeders Post by Gnildryw» Fri pm I just ticked "on" the visibility of the status bar (the bar at the bottom that shows an overview of down- and uploading speeds and so on), and it says "no incomming connections!". Completed torrents don't seed. Some say "seeding" but are not uploading. If I highlight all completed torrents and right-click "force resume" they will seed, but then queuing limits are ignored. What is the expected behavior (type here) Steps to reproduce (type here) Extra info(if any).
Hi, I don't usually run into issues with uTorrent, but just recently I've been having this problem where the file downloads perfectly fine, but once it finishes, it won't upload/seed at all. The torrent(s) are typically healthy, usually from private trackers. My ports are open, when running tests on the setup guide my network is open and fine. I just got into a decent tracker and am trying to maintain a good ratio. The only problem is that for some reason whenever I download torrents, once the torrent is done downloading it won't seed. It says seeding but it says 0 B uploaded, kB/s uploading, and a share ratio. I'm using utorrent (build ). It's not possible to download a torrent without any seeding. When you download you simultaneously seed to anyone else in the swarm, that's how bittorrent works. Sure, you could stop the torrent once it's down downloading, but that just means you were seeding the whole time you were still downloading.
